Hello, my name is Zongze He, my nickname is Harris. I began drawing a month ago and I have only arrived in the States for 4 months. I was born and heavily educated in Hong Kong, so I recon that my English is somewhat decent. I started taking art classes since I had some interest in drawing and definitely not because my mother held me at gunpoint and wanted me to learn art. I was interested in art ever since I wandered in my sister’s room and found various interesting art pieces on my sister’s table. From there on, I found art as an astonishing talent that would grant me many wishes and medals if I mastered. Now, I found that art wasn’t that crazy, but I still felt like it was a valuable subject to learn. Growing up, I went to many museums and examined many art pieces such as models, paintings and whatever I couldn’t comprehend in my peanut brain. One thing that caught my eye was that the painting of Mona Lisa that costs for almost a billion dollars which was a number that I didn’t even know existed 6 years ago. That number increased my dopamine production to about 200% which is as much dopamine drugs give. I wanted to make that much money and fame that the drawing had. I was stupid back then don’t blame me. My mother got me into one or two lessons of art until the coronavirus started and we went in lockdown. From then on, I left Hong Kong and traveled to ShenZhen. I had a brand new life there and just gradually forgot about art and the passion and interest I had for it. Until 2021 when a game called Among Us became popular and the characters were easy to draw. Few years later, I also drew Winnee the poo and showed it to my mother. I was stupid back then don’t blame me. However, my mother thought I drew it nicely which encouraged me to pick my pen up for another month. Then I forgot about again until a month ago when my mother wanted me to get glued to other hobbies instead of video games. Now I’m taking art classes yippee! I’m not going to talk about my favorite blah blah blahs since no one cares. I play badminton, play videos games, do homework, go to school, eat, sleep that’s all. I was also told that an art portfolio would benefit my academic results, so I am somewhat glad to be learning art. That’s all my introduction, thank you for listening and I’m sorry if I wasted that valuable time of yours.
